Founded at the beginning of 2008 The Blue Journal-Report (The Blue) seeks to cull and create serious writing on news, politics, literature, the arts, community, sport, and religious life.

Its ultimate goal is to take a critical look at the whole of American culture generally, and black American culture specifically, in an attempt to offer a fresh view. Above all else, The Blue is an attempt. The landscape of interesting and relevant commentary concerning black America is ever-widening, but still insufficient. It is our hope that The Blue will advance the cause. Join us.
